Podcast episode 1: Tactical voting and youth turnout

London Student launches its first podcast, a weekly round-up of student news and views covering topics from major political events to NUS memes.

This week, the London Student team (Charlie Lawrence-Jones, Rebecca Pinnington, Cale Tilford, Emma Yeomans) focus on registering to vote in the Snap General Election. We discuss why so many young people don’t vote, how tactical voting might help us to use our vote wisely, and why a meme of Clive Lewis flipping a pancake won’t make us vote for him.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to focus on the key issues for young people in the Snap General Election. Join the debate and suggest conversation topics in the comments below.
