In recent years, the IoE’s doors at 20 Bedford Way stood open to the public. This all changed in June, when UCL placed extra security guards on the door to ask for ID.
Activists occupying the Chancellor’s Hall at Senate House were “violently” evicted last night by “unidentified security”. The university press office said “it is very regrettable that UoL had to take this action.”
The UoL press office told London Student management spoke to the fire brigade about the cause.
In a statement the University of London Justice for Workers campaign said they will remain barricaded until their eight demands have been met by management.
